Former Melbourne Water chief technology officer Geoff Purcell took over James Cook University’s digital strategy as its chief digital officer (CDO) in January 2022. By November, Purcell had reshaped the university’s IT operating model and created four new tech roles, including a CISO, and heads of IT quality and digital partners.
